It was definitely not love at first sight for this North Queensland, Townsville couple. “It was hate at first sight, I think,” Kingi says, “for both of us. I had this perception of what she was like and she had one of me as well. I thought she was up herself and a bit of a snob, all of that stuff.”
Now 6 years later, married with their four year old daughter, Halia, Ali the family Rottweiler and Puppy Reno (great name!) their blue heeler their family is just about complete.
Caroline applied for The Block without Kingi even knowing. She thought you have to be in it to win it but never actually thought they would get through the audition process…how wrong she was and the rest is history.
Australia has fallen in love with these two, down to earth dubbed “The Larrikins” as they aired across our TV screens in the 2015 series of the hit Channel 9 renovating show The Block.
Their “can do” attitude, impeccable team work with each other and their drive to succeed every week saw them ranked as the highest scoring couple in Block history over all 11 series.
Scott Cam named them The King and Queen of The Block as they ruled the competition from their Level 1 apartment in South Yarra, Melbourne.
“Family is everything to us so to be apart of the Cupids Undie Run is such a honour and we hope to raise much needed funds and awarenss about NF” Kingi said.
“We can’t even begin to understand what these brave people go through with NF so to have meet Richard and Christine a Townsville local and hear her families story just touched our hearts so much we wanted to be involved and help educate people about NF” Caro explained.
